Please be advised:
Walls and ceilings must be finished. Plumbing, gas, and electrical connections must be present during the appointment. Your kitchen planner will not bring samples to your appointment, only good advice. You will be receiving a planning service, not a design service. Your kitchen planner is an expert in functionality/layout, not style/design. You must make your style decisions before your planning appointment.
At this time we are offering a modified version of our typical in-home designs. This consists of a shorter in-home portion, typically an hour, during which we would measure the space and gather information on your ideas and requirements for your new kitchen. We would then complete the design off-site after which we can schedule a time to meet at our showroom to go over the design and make changes if need be. This allows us to provide the same great service just with shorter amounts of face to face time together to help keep us all safe. You also have the opportunity to see door/drawer styles from Ikea in our showroom.
It’s a bit different for now but this helps us limit face to face time and ensure we are keeping everyone safe and healthy! We wear a mask and keep the mandatory 6 feet from everyone during the appointment(s).
If that is something you are interested in booking with us please contact us and we can set up a time for you. This is new to all of us so we can figure this out together !!
Consultation for renovation will be 1-2 weeks after the initial visit
In-House Site Measure for your Renovation
To provide peace of mind, TFK Kitchens offers an in-house site measure/consult. Working together, we contribute what will fit best with your home.
An experienced technician will visit you in your home to assess the conditions. Additionally, they will provide accurate measurements. All the required dimensions will be entered into the IKEA Home Planner software. Within 24 hours, it’s saved to your account under your unique user profile.
The technician will collect or verify the measurements of your room including:
• Room dimension (height, length, width)
• Dimension and position of windows and doors
• Position of external walls
• Width of all windows (including the sill) and their height above the floor
• Position of sloping ceilings
• Position of electric, water and gas connections and other fixtures e.g. Pipes, radiators
• Confirm that all room corners are square
• Confirm that all included walls are plumb
